In Twist, it is possible to register from the material configurator, the direction of the paper fiber and the different paper cuts.
There are three possible options: neutral or without direction indication, horizontal direction and vertical direction.
As an example, we will consider the following case which is for a piece of paper having dimensions 600mm x 900mm and with the following cuts:
We can see how by default, for the different cuts are shown different orientations of the fiber. This is because it considers that they are cuts obtained from the original sheet and always considers the largest dimension as the base.
In the example above, you can see that by rotating the cuts so that the larger dimension remains on the base, it will generate the fiber direction icon such that it is aligned with the blue arrows that indicate the direction of the original fiber.
